I was highly disappointed with my room - it did not have a balcony as promised, only a sliding door that didn't even fully open, and it was filthy. Despite the high extra cost for an ocean view balcony, I couldn't even sleep in it. On the bright side, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean, but overall, it was a letdown.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The fantastic views of the river and Charleston from my room were breathtaking, and watching the ships and boats on the harbor was so relaxing. The rooms were clean and free of any unpleasant odors, making my stay very comfortable. Although the room itself was nothing extraordinary, the views made up for it. The service was top-notch, with staff members going above and beyond to assist us, even arranging our towels in the shape of a swan – such a lovely touch! The location was perfect - just far enough from downtown to feel like a beach vacation, yet still close to explore Charleston and its attractions, including easy access to Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms beaches. Dining options were a bit limited on-site, but the convenience of having food available without walking far was a plus. Overall, a great value for the price paid.
Arriving at the hotel was a bit of a letdown as the room wasn't ready and had some issues with the air conditioning, but once settled, it was a comfortable and spacious haven at a great value. The service, however, was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to cater to all needs, making for a truly enjoyable stay. The location was a mix of relaxing waterfront views but with occasional disturbances from nearby constructions.
The hotel's location is amazing, being a quick drive or shuttle from downtown, with a very scenic view close to the pretty bridge. Rooms were a bit smaller and showed some wear and tear issues, but the convenience of the location made up for it. Service was lacking in hospitality, and staff hid behind policies instead of helping with basic requests. The dining experience was just okay, with average service and food quality.
